It all started at our Haven’s Readings. We didn’t want just another land acknowledgment at our readings. The Stroll of Poets Board of Directors took a leadership role in inviting Mic Hosts to connect to Treaty 6 Land Acknowledgements in a more personal and meaningful way. You can read more about that here.
As time went on and we experienced beautiful, touching, and personal land acknowledgments, we knew this had to be a book. After years of work, we created Poets Re-Imagine Canada: A Primer for a Land beyond Acknowledgements.
Learn more about what it means to be treaty people and to work toward reconciliation through the thought-provoking poems, personal essays, and history lessons in Poets Re-Imagine Canada: A Primer for a Land beyond Acknowledgements by Edmonton Stroll of Poets Society.
